There is a bug in metropolis zone act 2 where some of the wall pads do not bounce sonic up the wall therefore not being able to continue the level. Other than that the game is a perfect remake.

This does everything right Literally everything, this is a fantastic port, well even more than a port with its bonus content.

I dont ever really do reviews but this game is special to me, I use to play this for hours when I was a kid on my Sega Genesis and the fact that I can now do it on my phone is nothing less than pgenominal. Thank you to the team that made this possible

When are we going to see sonic 3?

So, Ive been playing the original for quite some time now, and Ive decided to "upgrade". This game is amazing! I love that you can start a game and play as not only Sonic, but Tails and Knuckles too! Just one question: Can you play as 2 other people? For example, Tails and Knuckles together? Just wondering.

I love this game so much, this was the first game I have ever played, and I also have CD and 1 on iOS. All I need now is Sonic 3/Sonic & Knuckles and that would be life!!!

Great game. Brings back my childhood when I owned this and a sega Genesis. You guys need to recreate or release sonic & knuckles again!! That one is another classic! Please and thank you!

Sonic 2 is considered by many to be the best Sonic game. Christian Whiteheads remake here is a thing of beauty! Having the same graphics, but making them more silky smooth (Play the Bonus Stages in the original or a port of the original then the ones in this remake and youll see what I mean!) as well as adding a plethora of new features! My favorite is the addition of my favorite lost Sonic Zone, Hidden Palace! Ive always wanted an official level of it, because it is gorgeous, and the one provided is everything I could have wanted in the stage! The controls are a bit off, (not enough to make the game less enjoyable, though) I suppose, though, I am playing on a Smart Phone, so it would be expected... I can only hope Whitehead gets to my favorite in the series, Sonic 3 & Knuckles!

This game really needs save states in my opinion. Like I guess after beating the final boss youre able to play any level by selecting the file, but for a Chaos Emerald run, itd be nice if we didnt have to start over the stage whenever we screw it up. To be able to save right before the start of a Special Stage. Besides that, this port is fantastic and adds a lot to the table, outdoing the original by a good margin because of the added content.

This game is awesome but two bad things one Tails doesnt fly sonic when he looks up and it says there are emarelds but you cant enter the zone on the iPad also its unfair that you fight Metal Sonic with no rings.

If you put rings in final zone sonic 1 app then you got to put rings the death egg rings

I love classic Sonic, and this version is awesome with all the extras! Any chance of this version being released on a console or handheld system (or even Steam)? Id love to be able to use a controller to play on a larger screen.

The first one started it all off, this one is great, I would actually say its better than the first, BUT, we dont have Sonic 3&K! We cant have the whole series of classic sonic games without it!

This game needs multiplayer im not complaining but its a great game I love it but all it needs to get that spark is multiplayer the game needs multiplayer so please make it be in the next update thank you!!!

This is one my favorite sonic games of all time,The level were fun,the soundtracks were awesome,has great quality,it even has 2p mode where you can play online which is cool

Tonight I Bought It and Beated it Tonight Death Egg it took me a few minutes but then finally I beat Death Egg Zone Great Game Sega And Sega Please Dont Sell Sonic To Nintendo I mean seriously cause mess sonic while making sonic games you,ve been doing amazing on the game for PS3 XBOX 360 3DS WII SEGA GAME GEAR SEGA GENISIS DON,T SELL SONIC TO NINTENDO OK PLEASE DON,T!!!! $$$$$ :)

At least make sonic tails and knuckled lose less rings when we get hit

This is still the same good old sonic 2 but with massive improvements. Im so glad you made the special stages a lot easier than the original (I know the original wasnt too good looking because of the stupid limits) the older version of this port wasnt very accurate because of slow down, missing bosses, and lack of saving, until this update came along. I love it. I cant wait for the 3rd game to come on iOS
